Dr. Reza Mohammadi
Dr. Leza (Reza) Kazemi-mohammadi, Ph.D., LPC-S
Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S)
Dr. Leza (Reza) Kazemi-Mohammadi, is the Clinic Director and Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor. Leza received his Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from SMU (Southern Methodist University), and his Ph.D. in Family Studies from Texas Woman’s University. Leza works with children, adolescents, adult individuals, families, and couples. He strives to help individuals find meaning and motivation in their difficult life situations, using approaches including, but not limited to CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Child-Centered Therapy approaches, and Solution Focused Counseling. While working with children and adolescents he works hard to empower each person and increase their confidence in their abilities, so that they can stand up for their personal beliefs and rights. Leza also, according to client votes and the readers at DFW Child Magazine, is a “Mom Approved” therapist. Leza additionally, has advanced training in sexual therapy, working with Transgender, Transsexual and other LGBTQ+ community members.

Dr. Tannaz Moein is a Doctor of Psychology. Tannaz received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from University of Texas at Dallas, her Master’s of Science degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University, and her Doctor of Psychology degree from California Southern University. She works with children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and the elderly population. Tannaz has gained advanced training in substance dependency and adolescence counseling. As an Adlerian counselor, Tannaz believes people are holistic, phenomenological, creative, teleological, and social. In counseling, she pays close attention to the importance of the complete system of individuals. She believes in experiences, consciousness, and that people are creative and can shape their own personality and have the freedom to affect their destiny. Her approach to counseling is to help clients believe in themselves and develop the capacity for growth through better understanding of their perceptions and beliefs.

Dr. Yee Yee Thein
Dr. Yee Yee Thein, MD
Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Yee Yee Thein is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist. Dr. Thein has focused on many different areas of psychiatry and is well versed with working with adolescents 17 years of age and older. Dr. Thein completed her residency training at The University of Texas (UT) Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist and Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where she supervises residents and medical students. Her past clinical and practice experiences include inpatient and emergency psychiatry, diagnosis and management of Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Eating Disorder, and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD).

Dr. M. Sarfaraz Khan is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist and a Child, and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Dr. Khan has focused on many different areas of psychiatry and is well versed with working with children and adolescents as well as addressing addiction and geriatric population concerns with more than 39 years of experience. Dr. Khan is a member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Psychiatric Association.
Mrs. Zahra Payravian
Mrs. Zahra Payravian, LPC

Mrs. Zahra Payravian is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Her graduate degree in Mental health Counseling, and her undergrad in Nursing gives her a niche in combining Mental and physical health. Zahra works with adolescences, adult individuals, and families. Zahra has advanced training in anxiety, depression, and woman’s issues. Her main approach in counseling is to get to the root cause of the problem while she is walking with you along the path of therapeutic journey. It’s tough when you see yourself in the dark and dead end of your life; but you be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel, if you walk it with a caring professional. Her profession is her passion, and she enjoys working with her clients genuinely. She helps her clients, not only to heal their pains, but also to coach them how to navigate their life.

Dr. Misty Solt
Dr. Misty Solt, Ph.D., LPC-S, RPT-S, LCDC, BCN
Dr. Misty Solt is a Licensed Professional Counselor- Supervisor in the state of Texas. Dr. Solt is also a Registered Play Therapy-Supervisor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, Certified Child-Centered Play Therapy-Supervisor, Certified Child-Parent Relationship Therapist-Supervisor, Board Certified in Neurotherapy, and a Fully-Trained EMDR Therapist. Dr. Solt received her Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Illinois University in 1998 and completed her Doctorate in Counseling with a specialty in Play Therapy at the University of North Texas in 2003. Over the years, Dr. Solt has worked as a counselor in the following areas: school crisis counseling, in-home counseling, agency counseling, and private practice. Dr. Solt is currently serving on full-time faculty as an Associate Clinical Professor at SMU. Prior to serving on faculty, she was the Clinic Director of the SMU Center for Family Counseling for three years. Dr. Solt has also served as the Assistant Director of the Center for Play Therapy and has been a Supervisor for the Intensive Play Therapy Supervision component of the Summer Institute since 2000. Dr. Solt has also taught and supervised as an Adjunct Professor at UNT in the areas of Practicum, Assessment, and Filial Therapy. Dr. Solt has served on Frisco Independent School District Hope Rising Team, which is a trauma response team to assist children and teens that have experienced a trauma or loss. Dr. Solt is also on the Board of Directors for Camp C.O.P.E., which is an intensive counseling experience offered to children of a deployed or injured parent serving in the military. Dr. Solt has also served on the board of the North Texas Chapter of the Texas Association for Play Therapy for four years.
Mario Gonzalez
Mr. Mario Julian Gonzalez, M.A, LPC
Mr. Mario J. Gonzalez is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Family and Community Counseling from Argosy University, and a Bachelor’s degree from University of Houston in Psychology. Mr. Mario is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas with over 10 years of experience. He provides therapy to children, adolescents, individual, couples, family and has a background in community counseling and a mental behavioral hospital setting. Mr. Mario specializes in empowering clients to build up their self-esteem and help them learn new perspectives to look at their lives through a mentally healthy lens. He also excels in building healthy relationships, remaining authentic, and providing a safe environment to learn to maintain a healthy way of living. Mr. Mario also has advanced training in working with LGBTQIA+ issues, anger management, couples and family counseling, divorce issues, depression, and experiential counseling.
Janet_Dowel
Janet L Dowell, MSW, LCSW

Janet Dowell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She started out her career working with pregnant teens, homeless families, families with newborns, then moved to court appointed juveniles and most recently worked with people impacted by cancer. She feels that trauma comes in all shapes and sizes and forms and that most of us primarily want to know that we are not alone, whatever our struggle is. That is how she approaches counseling; as a path she will move along with each individual client. She believes strongly in client self-determination and uniqueness and appreciates the diversity of the surrounding community and clients.

Janet utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution focused, systems perspective and is an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist. She believes in using art, writing, self-talk, and play for expression and developing confidence and self-esteem. She has a passion for working with parents and kids to communicate in healthier ways and understand the different life stages the deal with. She is currently a participant in the Trauma Care Institute’s Trauma Therapy Certificate Program through the Trauma Support Services of North Texas and is committed to continuously improving and expanding her service expertise through education and experience.

Allison Smith
Allison L. Smith, M.Ed., LPC, RPT
Allison L. Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), a Texas certified school counselor, and a Texas certified Language Arts, Theater Arts, Fine Arts, and English as a Second Language teacher. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Tech University in 1993 and her Master of Education in School Counseling from Lamar University in 2014. In 2017, she received a Certificate of Counseling and Development from the Clinical Mental Health department of Lamar University. Clinical mental health training she has received includes Child-Centered Play Therapy from the Center of Play Therapy at the University of North Texas, Expressive Arts Therapy, Yoga Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and substance abuse counseling. She is a member of the Association for Play Therapy (North Texas chapter) and the American School Counselor Association. Allison is experienced in providing therapeutic support through play and talk therapy. She provides guidance counseling, including character development, healthy habits, stress management, test-taking strategies, organizational planning, goal setting, and conflict resolution. Allison Smith supports school-aged children and their families through their academic achievement, college and career readiness, social-emotional development, and trauma recovery.
Mr. Nathan S Kortu
Mr. Nathan S Kortu, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
Mr. Nathan Kortu is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Nathan graduated with a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Amberton University in Garland, Texas, and a Bachelor’s degree in Christian/Pastoral Counseling from Criswell College in Dallas, Texas. Nathan has over twenty-five years of experience in Christian Counseling, and he is a multicultural therapist. Nathan treatment approach includes cognitive behavior, rational emotive, solution-focus, behavior modification and evidence-based theories to help clients achieve meaningful goals to live a productive life that they are seeking counseling for. Nathan works with adolescents, adults, couples, families and the elderly population. His treatment focus includes relationship issues, addictions, family conflicts, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, parenting, religion, grief and trauma.
Ms. Victoria Sam-Kpakra
Ms. Victoria Sam-Kpakra, LPC
Ms. Victoria Sam-Kpakra is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and National Certified Counselor (NCC). She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Human development from Howard University in Washington, DC and her Masters in Counseling from Southern Methodist University in Texas. She has provided therapy and clinical care services in various settings including community-based care, managed care, and the behavioral health hospital setting. Prior to counseling, she also provided Applied Behavioral Analysis, working exclusively with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. She provides services to children, adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. She has experience and training working with depression, anxiety, family separation trauma, children in foster care, domestic violence, and substance abuse. Her approach is holistic in nature, working with clients to examine the individual and the systems to which they belong, and explore core beliefs and perceptions. She encourages her clients to utilize their creativity and strengths to live their best life- meaning not just living but thriving and becoming a happier, healthier version of themselves.

Dr. Marita Jahangiri, DC
Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Marita Jahangiri is a Doctor of Chiropractic. Marita received her Doctorate degree along with a Bachelor of Science and Health Wellness from Parker University. Dr. Marita uses her unique talents to help all ages and delivers a drug-free, non-surgical treatment for a full scope of musculoskeletal and neurological issues. Her passion is helping people get out of pain and be in their best shape. Dr. Marita uses a whole-person and holistic approach while treating patients. In addition to adjustments, PEMF therapy, known as Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy, will be available to heal the body and mind further. Which can help patients accelerate and or maintain their journey to the best health and lifestyle.
