Stress Management

Stress Management involves a series of coping skills specifically applied to manage life stressors. The purpose of these coping skills is to help people practice problem-solving strategies, manage conflict, use improved communication and interpersonal skills, and overall become more resilient in the face of stress. The purpose of stress management is not to avoid stress, but instead, to be able to accept that stress is inevitable and it is through the practice of positive coping skills that life stressors can become more manageable. Stress management involves critical skills that if applied correctly can improve all areas of functioning and can lead to greater emotional and physical health and quality of life.
